Competition promoted by Staffordshire University, Marketing & PR, College Road, Stoke-on-Trent. ST4 2DE.

UCAS 2016 – Staffordshire University Competition Entry.

  1. The competition is organised by Staffordshire University.
  2. Staffordshire University reserve the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/or the Rules without notice for any event that is outside of Staffordshire University’s reasonable control. Any changes to the Rules, or cancellation of the Competition, will be posted on www.staffs.ac.uk website. It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any changes to the Rules.
  3. Entry to this competition is open to persons of any age who are registered with UCAS for undergraduate study commencing in either 2017 or 2018. Entrants must be full time residents of the UK (including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) except the children or close relatives of Staffordshire University employees, or the children or close relatives of any person closely connected with the competition. Proof of eligibility and identity may be requested.
  4. Entrants must submit all requested data including but not limited to – name, email address, mobile number, course areas of interest and year of entry. Entry is via completion of the data form (including bar-code scanning) at UCAS Conventions/Faisr, Staffordshire University “Open your Mind” or other entry points promoted by Staffordshire University during the dates of the competition and then subsequent completion of the online form giving further details including Date of Birth, Address, Year of Entry and current school / college (if applicable) on-line
  5. The personal data provided will be used for the purposes of administering the competition and for follow up marketing and communications about studying at Staffordshire University. The form of communication may include (but not limited to) Email, Post, Telephone call, SMS, Targeted advertising via third party digital platforms such as Google, Facebook & Twitter.
  6. Entry opens on Wednesday 2 March 2016 at 9am. Entry closes on 15 January 2017 at 5pm.
  7. Only one entry per person is permitted.
  8. The competition winner will be picked at random. The winner will be notified by Staffordshire University. Details of the winner will be published on www.staffs.ac.uk
  9. Staffordshire University reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  10. Staffordshire University, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries, agencies and/or any other organisation associated with this competition cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any server, Internet access, system or otherwise which may result in any entry being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
  11. The competition prize is a family experience for up to 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children (under 18) up to a maximum value of £5,000.00 (five thousand pounds sterling) inclusive. If the winner is under 18, they must be accompanied by parents / guardians. This prize cannot be exchanged for the monetary value and cannot be transferred to another person.
  12. The prize excludes meals and drinks, travel insurance, personal expenses, and visas. The winner and their companions must hold a current and valid passport and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry into any country picked as part of the experience.
  13. The holiday is subject to availability and must be completed by no later than 31st August 2017 and Staffordshire University cannot agree to students being taken out of school during term time.
  14. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. It cannot be sold or given to an alternative party.
  15. It is the responsibility of the winner and their parents / guardians to (i) organise and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for the travelling party; (ii) ensure that the travelling party is adequately insured including without limitation covering overseas medical costs, and (iii) ensure that the travelling party adheres to the travel itinerary and other relevant safety instructions as set out by the prize provider.
  16. It is the responsibility of the winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the winner and/or their companions when taking up the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.
  17. The winner must be accompanied by their parents / guardian on this holiday and up to one other person under the age of 18. Staffordshire University reserve the right to withdraw the holiday if at any point they feel this rule is broken.
  18. Full details of the travel group including passport details must be supplied to Staffordshire University within one month of being notified of winning the prize.
  19. The winner will be required to provide a written account of their time on the experience, photographs, video footage and any other materials deemed relevant to share in marketing and communications materials produced by Staffordshire University. The University will provide further information on these requirements directly to the competition winner. The winner must agree to their content being used for marketing and communications purposes though will be able to approve this content before it is published.
  20. No entry fee is payable.
  21. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, the conduct or results of the Competition, or any other matter relating to a Competition, the decision of Staffordshire University shall be final and unchallengeable and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by Staffordshire University. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  22. The Rules and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including the Competition), existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
  23. The Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Rules or their subject matter, existence, negotiation, validity, termination or enforceability (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
